RaktMitra.org is a completely non-profit platform. It exists for one reason: to help patients reach willing blood donors faster.
Who we are
RaktMitra.org is an initiative of Parrikar Petro Services. The platform is funded and maintained by Parrikar Petro Services as a service to society. It is not a commercial product.
- No fees for donors, patients or families – ever.
- No advertising, and no selling or renting of donor data.
- No payment is asked for or offered for blood. Voluntary, unpaid donation is the safest kind.
Our mission
When a patient needs blood urgently, families often spend hours phoning friends, sharing messages and searching social media. We want to replace that with a simple, trustworthy directory of voluntary donors, searchable by blood group and distance.
How the platform connects people
- Donors register with their blood group and area, and verify their mobile number by OTP.
- Seekers verify too. Anyone searching must sign in with a mobile OTP. This keeps bots and spammers out.
- Search shows masked profiles – a shortened name, blood group, area and approximate distance.
- Contact is accountable. To see a donor's number, a seeker states the patient or hospital details. That request is logged.
- Donors stay in control. They can switch availability off, update details or delete their profile at any time.
Responsible use
RaktMitra.org only facilitates connections between people. We are not a blood bank, hospital, laboratory or medical provider. We do not collect, test, store or supply blood, and we cannot guarantee that a donor will be available or medically suitable. All donations must take place at a licensed blood bank or hospital, which will screen the donor and cross-match the blood.
